Nothing Shares Photo of Translucent Phone 1 Ahead of July Reveal

    Nothing teased on Wednesday a look at its Phone 1 ahead of the product’s launch on July 12.?
    The London startup tweeted a photo of the translucent smartphone, along with a marketing pitch. “Bold. Warm. Full of soul. A return to instinct. This is phone (1),” the company?tweeted.?
    Similar to Nothing’s Ear 1 earbuds, the phone has see-through exterior that offers a peek at how the device functions. The phone, which has white and pale gray components on the inside, features a dual rear camera and wireless charging. The smartphone will run on the Nothing OS, using an Android platform powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon.?
    At a company?event in March, Nothing CEO and co-founder Carl Pei said that Phone 1 has a “fast and smooth” design. Pei also said that the phone will rival Apple in terms of user experience. Phone 1 has a frame made of recycled aluminum, and the company tapped into a web of digital sounds and even Morse code to develop its own sounds. The device will come with three years of OS updates and four years of security updates. ?
    So far, Nothing has revealed partnerships with telecom companies in the UK, Germany and India. Nothing will share more details about Phone 1 at its 8 a.m. PT July 12 launch.
